He came to the United Kingdom in 1974 to study engineering at the South London College but his natural intelligence and entrepreneurial skills allowed him to move into the commercial world by launching an electrical distribution business. His ongoing success is a result of a structured diversification into banking, travel, a chain of contemporary and highly popular restaurants as well as publishing and property development. Extremely active in a wide range of community and charitable initiatives and projects. Succeeded to the Chair of Chamber for second consecutive term (2000-2005) .
